Workers at the Windsor Assembly Plant will be heading back to work on April 21, but it's unclear for how long.
Unifor Local 444 reported on social media that Stellantis notified the union that both shifts will return to work for the weeks of April 21 and 28.
However, the union said the company has not made any decisions beyond that.
The automaker announced a two-week closure after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 25 per cent tariff on foreign-made automobiles and parts on April 2.
Nearly 4,500 workers at the Windsor Assembly Plant and another 2,000 workers at auto-parts suppliers in Windsor were laid off due to the shutdown.
