Police seized $65K of illegal drugs

Two people are facing charges after Windsor police seized $65,000 worth of illegal drugs.

After an investigation by the Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit, officers located and arrested a suspect on Tecumseh Road East. During the arrest, officers seized $4,150 in cash and 23.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

A second suspect was also arrested at the scene.

Officers then searched a home on Norman Road and seized 521 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 374.9 grams of cocaine, and 110.6 grams of an unknown white powder. A handgun, extended magazine, numerous shotgun shells, digital scales, and $18,470 in cash were also seized from the property.

A 27-year-old is facing charges of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a restricted firearm, possession of a prohibited device, unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of proceeds of crime, and failure to comply with a release order.

A 35-year-old is facing charges of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a restricted firearm, and possession of proceeds of crime.
