If you're eager to cast your ballot in the upcoming federal election but won't be around on April 28, you can vote early this weekend.
Starting Friday, advance polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can vote early on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Unlike some provincial and municipal elections, voters must cast their ballot at their assigned polling station for the federal election.
You can find out where your polling station is on your voter registration card, by going to elections.ca and entering your postal code or by calling 1-800-463-6868.
At the poll, electors must prove their identity and address. The worker at the polling station will accept your voter registration card, a passport, a driver's license, or a piece of mail with your name and where you live on it.
Voters can also vote early at any Elections Canada Office until April 22 at 6 p.m. They can also vote by mail if they apply by Tuesday April 22 at 6 p.m.
Elections Canada is still hiring workers to fill various paid positions during the election. Applications are available online or by contacting the closest Elections Canada office.
