Five suspects sought in weekend stabbing

Windsor police are looking for five people in connection to a stabbing that sent one man to hospital.

Officers responded at around 3 a.m. on Sunday to Hall Avenue near Niagara Street and found a 48-year-old man with serious injuries.

Police learned that two suspects shoplifted from a convenience store on Wyandotte Street East and Parent Avenue before fleeing. The victim, who was a customer at the store, followed the suspects out to confront them and was stabbed and beaten.

Video footage has been obtained which shows five suspects in the area at the time.

The first is described as a White male wearing a purple Playboy sweater with a white hood, black pants, and a white mask.

The second is described as wearing a black hoodie and black pants, with a red bandana used as a mask.

The third is described as a dark-haired individual wearing a black hoodie, pants, and shoes.

The fourth is described as a male wearing a black, grey, or green zip-up sweater; black pants, black socks, and black slides.

The fifth and final suspect is described as a Black male wearing a white hoodie, grey pants, and dark shoes.

Residents and business owners in the area are asked to check their surveillance, doorbell, and dashcam video footage from Sunday between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., and contact police if they see anything unusual.
