Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested three drivers within a 30-hour timeframe this week.

All of them allegedly involved impaired driving.

The first incident took place at around 9:30 p.m. in Lakeshore. A patrol officer stopped a vehicle on County Road 22.

A 22-year-old man from Belle River is charged with driving while impaired and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.

The second incident was reported just before midnight. The OPP conducted a traffic stop on Clark Street East in Leamington.

A 52-year-old Leamington man is also charged with impaired driving and driving with high blood alcohol. He is also charged with driving with an open container, driving without a licence or insurance, failing to stop for police, driving without proper rear lights, and using plates not authorized for the vehicle.

The third driver was stopped just after 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Leamington. Officers responded to a welfare check call on a driver on Erie Street South.

A 26-year-old Leamington man is charged with impaired driving, driving with high blood alcohol, and driving with cannabis readily available.

All drivers have had their driving privileges suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.

The charges have not been proven in court. All three drivers will have a chance to respond in two weeks in a Windsor court.
