Zehrs and Transit Windsor are partnering for the 15th year to offer free shuttle service to and from downtown for the annual Ford Fireworks.
All Transit Windsor routes will be free after 6 p.m. on Monday, June 23. The Transit Windsor shuttle will leave from Devonshire Mall and drop people off near City Hall.
"Typically we see about 10,000 to 12,000 thousand people a year on both the shuttle and city service after 6 p.m. We're looking forward to it again, it's an all hands on deck event for all staff of Transit Windsor and it's a great day for everyone," said Stephan Habrun, Acting Executive Director at Transit Windsor.
The fireworks kickoff at 10 p.m.
Return shuttles will operate until midnight and will pick passengers up across from the former Windsor Arena on McDougall Street.
Full details of this year's downtown road closures have not been released.
Local Zehrs stores and Transit Windsor also partnered in a food drive to support the UHC Hub of Opportunities. They collected a total of 2,860 pounds of food and $1,675 to support local families.
