The City of Windsor wants to hear from residents living around the Kinsmen Norman Road Park as it moves forward with redevelopment plans.
The city is proposing a zoning by-law amendment for the southern portion of the park from Green District 1.1 to Residential District 1.2. The change would allow the creation of six single-unit dwelling lots.
The city indicates revenue from the sale of the land could then be used for park development.
The redevelopment aims to enhance year-round use, improve accessibility, and elevate the overall quality of the green space.
A public information meeting will be held on Thursday, June 26, to share information about the proposed changes with residents. The meeting will be at St. Theresa Catholic Church from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Residents can also attend the meeting virtually by emailing KNRparkdev@dillon.ca to receive the link.
All proposed changes must be approved by the council before moving forward.
More information on the proposed plans can be found here.
