Police identify suspects wanted in vehicle theft

Windsor police have arrested one suspect and identified another wanted in connection to the theft of a car last month.

On the morning of Friday, June 20, police were called to an abandoned vehicle on Ouellette Avenue near Park Street. Officers learned that it was stolen from a home on Elsmere Avenue near Ellis Street East.

Earlier this week, police released surveillance video footage of two suspects leaving the area toward Maiden Lane.

The individuals were identified. A 31-year-old was arrested around noon Wednesday on Ouellette Avenue. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime.

A 37-year-old woman is still outstanding. She is described as a white woman, 5'6" tall, with a medium build, and blonde hair. Immediately following the incident, she wore a white sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes. She was last seen carrying a large blue bag, a white purse, a small purple backpack and a black backpack.
