There could be a light at the end of the tunnel for workers at a downtown Windsor hotel.
Unifor Local 195 announced Thursday afternoon that a tentative agreement had been reached with the company that operates the Best Western Plus hotel.
A ratification vote is set for Friday morning at the union hall on Somme Avenue.
Some 40 hotel employees walked off the job on June 1 after talks broke down. The workers rejected a "final offer" two weeks later. Wages and working conditions were the main sticking points.
Unifor National President Lana Payne had previously reported that the company had wanted concessions.
"Unifor members at Best Western Plus deserve wages that reflect the value they bring to the hospitality sector and respect for the hard work they do every day," said Payne on June 1.
The employees work in maintenance, guest services, and housekeeping.
The hotel is managed by Ironwood Management Corporation.
