Caesars Windsor's dedication to promoting responsible play has earned the property top industry honours.
The downtown Windsor gaming and entertainment complex has achieved the prestigious RG Check accreditation, a program created by the Responsible Gaming Council (RGC).
"We have a long-standing and continuing commitment to responsible gambling," said Caesars Windsor President Kevin Laforet. "Maintaining this accreditation demonstrates our commitment to ensuring resources are available for guests, mandatory training for our staff, and utilizing the PlaySmart Centre on property. It is something we take great pride in."
The accreditation process is a gruelling one. The quality of Caesars Windsor's responsible gambling program is measured against eight criteria set by the RGC, including corporate policies, self-exclusion, advertising and promotion, informed decision-making, assisting guests with gambling issues, access to money, venue and game features, and employee training.
Caesars Windsor first earned the RG Check in 2012 and must renew it every three years to keep its high accreditation.
RGC staff visited the complex to perform on-site checks, obtain information, review policies, and conduct surveys.
The complex has a PlaySmart Centre, which provides information and resources to patrons who may have a gambling problem.
