Weekend crash leads to charges against a Leamington driver

A collision over the long weekend has resulted in one person being sent to hospital and another facing charges.

Officers from the OPP's Leamington detachment and paramedics responded just before 6 a.m. on Sunday to Seacliff Drive West.

A female driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police determined that the second driver had consumed alcohol and was taken to the detachment for further testing.

A 36-year-old Leamington man is charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood alcohol concentration, and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The suspect was released and will have a chance to respond in a Windsor court on August 20.
