Windsor Police have been cleared of any wrongdoing after a 54-year-old man broke his ribs during an interaction with officers this past April.
Officers were helping sheriffs evict a tenant from a building in the Walker Road and Seminole Street area on April 23.
The man was hostile to the sheriffs and refused to leave the apartment.
The officers entered the apartment, and after a struggle, the man was arrested and taken to the hospital.
Doctors at the hospital diagnosed the man with multiple broken ribs.
The director of Ontario's Special Investigations Unit, Joseph Martino, assessed the evidence and concluded there were no reasonable grounds to charge the officers with any criminal offence.
