A new poverty reduction strategy in downtown and West Windsor is expanding to Leamington and Amherstburg.
The Neighbourhoods Program is a resident-led initiative aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing economic hardship.
At the heart of the program is the Connected Community Approach. Residents are placed at the forefront of change-making, supported by community organizations that act as neighbourhood leads. United Way Centraide of Windsor Essex County will implement the program in Leamington, while Amherstburg Community Services leads it in Amherstburg.
In the coming weeks, residents in Amherstburg and Leamington can connect with those organizations and learn how to get involved.
