The Harrow Fair gets underway on Thursday, celebrating 171 years.
Along with all the attractions we have come to expect from an agricultural fair, the event has some new competitions to draw the crowds, including an outhouse race.
"That's right! We're bringing back the fast, funny, and unforgettable that once had folks talking long after the fair ended," enthused Brian Renaud, the President of the Harrow Fair Board.
For the kids, there's a pedal pull, a teddy bear competition, and if you have a child who loves Lego, there's a Lego K'Nex competition too.
The parade is set for 11 a.m. Saturday morning from the Harrow Research Station to the Harrow Fairgrounds.
"Every Labour Day weekend, our fairgrounds come alive with the sights, sounds, and smiles that can only be found at the Harrow Fair," said Renaud.
"Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, we hope you'll find something new to love this year," he continued.
Entertainment includes Carson Janik at 8 p.m. on Thursday night. On Friday night, BuckTwenty takes the stage. Country star Gord Bamford will entertain the crowds at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and on Sunday at 1 p.m., Lauren Victoria performs.
