City to start spraying for wild parsnip in Little River Corridor

Starting on Tuesday, a contractor hired by the City of Windsor will start herbiciding wild parsnip along the Ganatchio Trail.

Wild parsnip is listed as a noxious weed under the Public Health and Safety exception to the cosmetic pesticide ban in the city.

If the weather cooperates, the work will start on Tuesday and is expected to finish by September 12.

The contractor will use Navius Flex PCP #30922, which contains the active ingredient Aminocyclopyrachlor.

The chemical is a skin and eye irritant, but is not known to cause serious allergic reactions.
