Fast response from Windsor police leads to two break-in arrests

Windsor police officers are again being credited for a quick response, this time catching two suspects in a burglary.

Police responded around 5 a.m. on Thursday to the construction site on Lauzon Road near McHugh Street. They learned two men wearing masks had entered the site and stolen $2,000 worth of network cable before fleeing.

Officers found the suspects in the area of Tecumseh Road East and Lauzon Road within ten minutes of the call and arrested them without incident.

The stolen cable was later recovered.

Two men, aged 42 and 38, are each charged with break-and-enter and wearing a disguise to commit an offence.

The charges have not been proven in court.
