One man faces charges in a crash that sent six people to hospital.
Windsor police were called to a collision just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 6 near the intersection of Tecumseh Road East and McDougall Street.
When police arrived officers found a pick-up truck and an SUV engulfed in flames.
Both drivers were trapped in the vehicles but were safely extricated.
Investigators said the pick-up was travelling westbound on Tecumseh Road East when it struck a sedan, before veering into eastbound traffic and colliding with the SUV.
The five occupants in the SUV were taken to hospital with the driver in life-threatening condition and the passengers having serious injuries.
According to police, the driver of the sedan was assessed on the scene and did not require medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pick-up, a 34-year-old male, was sent to hospital with serious injuries and remains in medical care.
He is charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and leaving the scene of an accident.
The area was closed to traffic for several hours while police investigated.
