Royal Canadian Legion install banners to commemorate veterans

48 new banners have been installed in Windsor.

The banners, commemorating veterans with ties to the Windsor community, can be found on both sides of Wyandotte Street East, between Thompson Boulevard and Glidden Avenue.

They were installed today, and display the veterans' names, photos, and their military occupation.

The installations are a collaboration between the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #255 (RCLB), the Olde Riverside BIA, and ENWIN Utilities Ltd..

To celebrate the new banners, the RCLB will be hosting an event.

The event is taking place on Tuesday morning, with speakers including Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac and RCLB President Bruce Tribute.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the banners have made an appearance in the Windsor community.
