Windsor men face attempted murder charges in Brampton carjacking

Two Windsor men face attempted murder charges after a violent carjacking in Brampton back in May.

The Peel Regional Police's Central Robbery Bureau reports that a Brampton man was selling his Dodge Challenger on Facebook Marketplace.

During a test drive with the two men, one suddenly pulled out a knife. When the victim refused to get out, the suspect threatened him and stabbed him in the throat.

The suspects fled with the car, and the victim, suffering serious injuries, was taken to a trauma centre.

The car was recovered in Windsor the following day, and two suspects were arrested last Thursday.

Police charged 22-year-old Simranjeet Singh and 20-year-old Parteek Ehitaan with attempted murder, robbery, and aggravated assault.

Police in the Peel Region ask anyone with information about the case to call 905-453-2121, ext. 3410, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or visit www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
