Windsor mother and son win big playing INSTANT 777

A Windsor mother and son, who have been playing the lottery together for over a decade, have finally struck pay dirt.

Mary and Daniel Golab won $100,000 playing INSTANT 777.

"When picking out tickets, I usually go for whatever appeals to me in the moment," said Daniel Golab. "I love seeing the signs at the store that say a big winner was sold there."

He was browsing the INSTANT tickets at the store when he pointed to one in particular and told the clerk, "That one is a winner!"

Later that evening, he and his mother scratched the first ticket and won $10.

Then Mary Golab started playing the second ticket.

"We both crossed our fingers. Before long, we discovered we'd won the top prize!" said Daniel.

Reflecting on his experience later at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Centre in Toronto, he said, "I still can't believe it!"

The two plan to manage their finances, complete some home renovations, and take a cruise.

The winning ticket was purchased at Lynn's Variety on Richmond Street in Amherstburg.
