The Windsor Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
On Tuesday afternoon, emergency services responded to reports of a serious collision at the intersection of Hanna Street East and Windsor Avenue.
A 58-year-old man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead.
Police said "a preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle travelling eastbound on Hanna St. E. drove through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle travelling northbound on Windsor Ave."
The force of the collision pushed the vehicles into the northeast corner of the intersection, where they struck the man who was on the sidewalk.
The intersection remains closed as members of the WPS Traffic Reconstruction Unit continue their investigation.
