Provincial funding will help a Windsor-Essex company build a new facility.
Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie joined members of Tecumseh Town Council on Wednesday morning to announce a $252,000 investment in the expansion of Moddulx Inc.
The funding will help pay for a new, 16,500-square-foot facility to house the company and allow for the creation of five new jobs.
"This investment in Moddulx Inc. is a strong example of how our government is supporting local innovation and advanced manufacturing right here in Windsor–Tecumseh," said Dowie. "By helping businesses grow and create good-paying jobs, we’re building a stronger, more resilient economy and ensuring our region remains competitive in high-tech and high-demand industries."
Moddulx focuses on producing composite panels for use in the advanced manufacturing industry, including automotive and EV battery manufacturing. Its parent company is ACH Engineering Inc.
"This funding will accelerate our growth, create skilled local jobs, and support high-demand sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, automotive, EV battery production, semiconductors, and other emerging technologies," said Moddulx Founder and CEO Chirag Shah.
The money comes from the Ontario Regional Development Program’s Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.
