Two Windsor-Essex lottery players walk away with $50K each

The start of fall was a little sweeter for two local lottery players.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) announced the winners on Friday, after both had picked up their $50,000 cheques from the Prize Centre in Toronto.

Linda Brugma of Windsor played the Daily Keno Midday game on August 5, and won $50,000.

Daily Keno players select a strategy, from a 2-Pick to a 10-Pick, and bet between $1 and $10.

Brugma purchased her winning ticket at the Giant Tiger on Legacy Park Drive in Windsor.

Meanwhile, Sharon Del Bianco of Tecumseh used a scratch-off ticket to win her own $50,000. She won the top prize with the Instant Super Strike game.

The mother of two, an ultrasound technologist, is a frequent lottery player.

"When I checked my ticket at the store and discovered it was a winner, I was in shock and disbelief," said Del Bianco.
