Windsor police say a suspect in a west-end armed robbery last week has been arrested.
It happened at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, at a retailer on Tecumseh Road West near California Avenue. Police allege the man entered, grabbed some merchandise, and tried to leave without paying.
When confronted by store employees, the man pulled out a knife, made a slashing motion, then fled, according to police.
No one was physically hurt.
Police arrested a 47-year-old man at around 1 p.m. on Monday, in the area of Ouellette Avenue and Elliott Street.
He has been charged with robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The suspect is also facing two counts of theft under $5,000 in a separate case.
The charges have not been proven in court.
