Two arrested in West Windsor robbery of a taxi driver

Officers from the Windsor Police Problem-Oriented Policing Unit have arrested two suspects wanted after a robbery last Thursday.

A taxi driver picked up a man and a woman on Josephine Avenue. During the ride, the driver and the passengers got into a verbal altercation.

The woman then climbed into the front seat and bit the driver.

The man got out of the vehicle, opened the driver's door, and assaulted the taxi driver.

The suspects fled with the victim's glasses, vehicle keys, and about $108.

The taxi driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the ordeal.

Last Friday, police arrested two suspects, a 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman. Both are charged with robbery and failing to comply with a release order.
