Residents in Windsor's Ward 2 will begin the process of filling a vacant council seat on Friday.
Advance voting in the Ward 2 byelection is on Friday and Saturday.
Eligible voters may cast a ballot from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days at Campbell Baptist Church, located at 1821 Wyandotte Street West.
Voter notification cards were not issued for this byelection, and are not required to vote. Simply bring an acceptable form of identification with you.
Election Day is October 27, with polls open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
New for this election, Ward 2 voters may choose from any of seven polling places. They are as follows.

Sandwich Teen Action Group, 3735 King Street
Mackenzie Hall Court Auditorium, 3277 Sandwich Street
Campbell Baptist Church fellowship hall,1821 Wyandotte Street West
University Community Church, 2320 Wyandotte Street West
Life After 50 gymnasium, 635 McEwan Avenue
Malden Park Visitors Centre community room, 4200 Malden Road

The byelection will fill the seat vacated by Fabio Costante, who resigned to become CEO of the Windsor-Essex Community Housing Corporation.
The winner will serve out the remainder of Costante's term, which expires in November 2026.
