New No Frills store now open near Devonshire Mall

Grocery shoppers in Windsor now have another affordable option available.

Loblaw has opened the area's latest No Frills store, on Howard Avenue in the Roundhouse Centre, across from Devonshire Mall.

Opening day was Thursday.

"This exciting opening underscores No Frills’ commitment to bringing quality and affordability to even more Canadian families, particularly within Windsor's vibrant community," read a release from Loblaw. "The 22,000 square-foot store will offer affordable groceries, including fresh produce, meat, and everyday essentials to residents in the Windsor area."

The new store will employ 69 people.

To mark the opening, No Frills will offer giveaways to the first 100 customers on Friday and Saturday. No Frills will also donate $2,000 to the Windsor Youth Centre.

A second location in Windsor is being planned for Tecumseh Road East near Princess Avenue. A Loblaw spokesperson told WindsorNewsToday.ca that more information will follow at a later date.

No Frills will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
