The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) is looking into a postgame scuffle between coaching staffs at a youth hockey game in Lakeshore.
It happened on Sunday afternoon at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre, following a game between two U-13 A travel boys teams.
Video taken from LiveBarn.com showed the game ending with the Riverside Rangers U-13 team beating the Belle River Canadiens U-13 team 6-5.
As the players were leaving the ice and one of the goalies removed the goal from its supports, the coaching staffs of both schools were then seen arguing on the ice just off the home bench.
Hands appeared to have been laid with one person being shoved onto the ice.
As the players from one team stood on the ice watching, two officials skated in to help break the confrontation up. The ice was then cleared.
In a statement provided to WindsorNewsToday.ca, the OMHA confirmed that the incident was being probed.
"This incident is currently under investigation, and all bench staff on both teams have been suspended indefinitely pending a hearing. Situations like this have no place in minor hockey and do not reflect the values of the Ontario Minor Hockey Association," read the statement.
