LaSalle police cite Kitchener man for stunt driving

A Kitchener man has been charged after an incident in LaSalle late Wednesday night.

LaSalle police were conducting patrols in the Sprucewood Drive area at around 11 p.m., when they spotted the driver, who was clocked going at 105 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre-per-hour zone.

The 25-year-old driver was ticketed for stunt driving.

He'll try walking for 30 days after his licence was suspended. His vehicle was also impounded for 14 days.

Police have reminded drivers to exercise care on the roads as winter weather becomes a possibility and the holiday season is underway.

"As winter weather approaches, LaSalle Police is reminding motorists to drive responsibly and adjust for poor road conditions such as snow or ice," read a Facebook post from police.

The driver will have a chance to respond to the charge at a later date in court.
