ALPR notification leads to charges

A 45-year-old Windsor man is facing a number of charges after police in Essex got a notification from an Automated Licence Plate Reader.

Ontario Provincial Police officers stopped the vehicle while on general patrol on Highway 3.

The notification led to many charges including uttering threats, obstructing a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, driving while under suspension, failing to properly wear a seat belt, and driving with the window coated.

The accused was taken into custody to answer to the charges.
