The deadline to apply for the two vacant positions on the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) is fast approaching.
Anyone interested in applying has until noon on Wednesday to submit their package to the board.
The application process was opened after the trustees, Ron LeClair of LaSalle and Amherstburg, and Nancy Armstrong of Leamington and Pelee Island, resigned within a month's time.
Armstrong resigned due to lingering issues over the naming process for Kingsville's new K-12 school. LeClair resigned over concerns about potential changes to education oversight.
Once the application deadline passes, qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews, which will be conducted during a special board meeting on Monday, December 15.
Trustees will vote on their new colleagues the following day.
The winners will serve in their positions until the next municipal election, set for October 2026.
