Smaller bin option available soon

Windsor-Essex residents will soon have the option of a smaller recycling cart.

Circular Materials, the company responsible for recycling in the province, has committed to exchanging the large carts for a smaller one for residents who request one.

The smaller cart will be 240-litres compared to the 360-litre cart that was delivered in the fall.

The exchange request form will be available in mid-December.

The new recycling program begins the week of January 1, 2026. Under the new program, all recyclable material can be placed in the single bin. For more information on what can be recycled under the new program, click here.

Only the bins provided by Circular Materials will be collected after January 1, 2026.
