Lanspeary Lions Rink to open next weekend

The City of Windsor plans to open its outdoor skating rink in Lanspeary Park this coming Sunday.

The Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink is available for both public skating and rentals, and the city is extending hours at the rink between December 21 and January 4, 2026.

Anyone who wishes to rent the rink can do so by calling 519-253-2300 ext. 2714.

The rink is open at the following times:

* Sunday, December 21, to Tuesday, December 23 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

* Wednesday, December 24, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* Friday, December 26, to Tuesday, December 30, frrom 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

* Wednesday, December 31, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* Friday, January 2, 2026, to Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The rink is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Hours at the rink are 12 p.m. to 10 p.m on upcoming Professional Activity Days on January 16, January 30, and February 27. It's also open on Family Day, February 16, during those hours.

Free public skating is available throughout the week.

* Mondays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

* Wednesdays from 8 p.m. to 9 pm.

* Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

* Sundays for adult skating from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. weather permitting.

* Fridays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
