Windsor police launches new tool to track suspects out on bail

The Windsor Police Service is using a new digital tool to track high-risk offenders out on bail.

The Bail Compliance Dashboard gives patrol offices a live, interactive map with detailed information on individuals currently on bail. It includes current addresses, photographs, and release conditions.

“This dashboard represents a significant advancement in how we manage high-risk offenders in Windsor,” said Inspector David DeLuca. “By providing our officers with immediate access to real-time information, we are enhancing their ability to act proactively, improve compliance, and ultimately increase public safety across our community.”

The dashboard is compatible with a similar tool used by the Ontario Provincial Police to allow information sharing between agencies.

In 2025, the Bail Compliance Unit tracked 370 individuals with conditions stemming from gun charges, violent crimes and repeated violations.

The Unit conducted 95 bail related investigations, 77 of which resulted in additional charges.
