A Windsor man is facing charges after a child luring investigation that was started by the Peel Regional Police.
Windsor police say Peel Regional Police started the investigation in October after getting information about sexually explicit online communications involving a child on a social media platform.
The investigation revealed the suspect expressed sexual interest towards children.
Peel Regional Police determined the suspect lived in Windsor.
The Windsor Police Service Child Exploitation Unit took over the investigation and searched a home on Bernard Drive on Wednesday.
A 38-year-old was arrested and charged with telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 - sexual interference, telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 - sexual assault, and telecommunication agreement to commit a criminal offence with a child under 16 - invitation to sexual touching.
The Windsor Police Service reminds parents to know who their child is talking to on social media and to set boundaries and monitor their child's privacy settings.
