Major Crimes Unit investigating after unresponsive man found

Windsor Police are looking for witnesses and information from the public after a man was found unresponsive in an east end parking lot on New Year's Day.

The man was found behind a commercial building on Tecumseh Road East near Princess Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital and died on Thursday.

Police describe him as a Black man in his early 20s, wearing a black button-up shirt, jeans, and white running shoes.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. Officers ask anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in that area, or who may have seen the victim previously to call them.

Residents and business owners in the area are also asked to check their dash cam and security camera footage for evidence.
