A 31-year-old man has been charged in connection with the sexual assault of a minor.
The Windsor Police Service says they received a report after a victim and another youth spent the night at a man's house. According to the report, the 17-year-old and her friend consumed alcohol, and the victim became incapacitated. She regained consciousness during the sexual assault.
The alleged assault was reported to the police the following morning.
The suspect was identified and arrested around 4 p.m. on New Year's Eve.
He was charged with sexual assault. The charge has not been proven in court.
