Man facing several charges in road rage incident

A 39-year-old man is facing several charges after a road rage incident in Windsor.

Windsor police said that at 1:20 p.m. on December 31, officers responded to a report of an assault in a parking lot of a business on Howard Avenue, and that on scene, they learned the incident started as an argument between two motorists.

A man allegedly struck a woman in the face with a walking cane, then placed her in a headlock, and threw her to the pavement before leaving the scene in his vehicle.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

While officers were interviewing the victim and witnesses, the suspect returned to the area and was taken into custody.

Kyle Louis McIntyre, 39, has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and failure to comply with a release order.
