K9 officer Rolex helped to track down a suspect breaking into a former elementary school.
Officers were called to the former J.E. Benson school around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. They learned a man had used a chainsaw to break into the building and was inside trying to steal materials.
Windsor police report they established a perimeter around the property as K9 officer Rolex and his handler searched the building. The suspect was located and arrested without incident.
Officers searched the suspect and found crystal meth and fentanyl.
The 26-year-old was charged with break and enter, possession of break-in instruments, and unlawful possession of a schedule 1 substance.
