LaSalle Police have laid more charges against a man already charged with public incitement of hatred, including against Jewish people and police officers.
Officers arrested the 30-year-old man in October after a number of online posts were flagged for their content.
On Tuesday, police charged Nicolas Amor with possession of an explosive substance and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
Constable Alaina Atkins said investigators are not releasing to the public what substance and what weapon police seized to protect the integrity of the investigation. She added there is no threat to public safety.
Amor remains in custody after his arrest in October.
The charges have not been proven in court.
