Windsor police say that even in a new year, drivers are still having trouble keeping their feet off their accelerators.
Officers from the Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped at least three people over the weekend for stunt driving.
Two of the traffic stops were on Wyandotte Street East near Sterling Crescent. A 22-year-old man was clocked going 103 kilometres per hour in the 50 km/h zone, and a 35-year-old woman was stopped travelling 104 km/h.
The third stop was on the E.C. Row Expressway at Central Avenue. An 18-year-old man was stopped going 160 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
All three drivers had their vehicles impounded for 14 days, and their licences are suspended for 30 days.
