City staff said the lights at the toboggan hill have been significantly damaged.
The extent of the damage is still being investigated and it is unclear how long it will take to repair the damage.
The hill can still be used during daytime hours.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection to the sexual assault of a child.
