The Town of Kingsville will submit a bid to purchase the former Kingsville District High School property.
"It's really a generational opportunity for a property, to shape the landscape of a property near your downtown core," said Kingsville Mayor Dennis Rogers.
The total amount the town is willing to spend on the property will not be disclosed unless the bid is accepted.
Rogers said the town sees a lot of potential in the 14 acre property.
"I think there's opportunity there for municipal space, we had talked about putting our new town hall there on part of it and then the other half of it being housing," said Rogers. "The Migration Hall is there, there are a lot of rec centre needs, especially during the day for seniors."
The Greater Essex County District School Board is accepting bids on the property until February 6, 2026.
