Essex OPP is looking for the public's help in a robbery and arson investigation that took place in Kingsville.
According to police, the incident took place on Saturday January 24, along Road 5, east of Graham Side Road, around 10:30 p.m.
Two unknown individuals allegedly armed with a handgun and an edged weapon robbed a person stopped in his vehicle. OPP say the suspects arrived in a dark colored pick-up truck and stole the victim's cash and debit card.
They then allegedly fled the scene after setting the victims vehicle on fire. There were no injuries reported.
According to OPP, the first suspect is "believed to be darker skinned male," wearing black clothing and carrying an edged weapon.
The second suspect is described by police as a "darker skinned person", wearing black clothing, carrying what appeared to be a black handgun.
No photos of the suspects were provided.
The investigation is ongoing, but OPP say there is not believed to be a threat to public safety as investigators believe this was an isolated incident.
