Windsor police arrest fraudulent car salesman

Windsor Police Service has arrested a man in connection with $40,000 in fraudulent car sales.

According to police, the 32-year-old man scammed 15 individuals between January and September of 2025, selling multiple vehicles deceitfully.

Investigators say the fraudulent vehicles had their odometers rolled back, were sold with false safety inspections, and buyers received varying cars from what they had purchased. Others bought scrap cars after they were misrepresented as road-safe.

After an investigation, police issued a warrant on Thursday, and the man turned himself in.

His charges include fraud over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
