The fire in a medium-sized workshop broke out just before 1 p.m. on Baseline at County Road 17.
Firefighters quickly controlled the blaze.
One person had to be treated on-scene by Essex County EMS.
Baseline and County Road 42 will be temporarily blocked by a high-volume supply line for water supply.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Development charges will be applied to new builds in Essex County to cover costs for expansion like county roads, EMS, and libraries.
