Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say two people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation in Tecumseh.
Officers were called to Aloha Drive off Old Tecumseh Road at around 2 p.m. on Thursday for a weapons complaint.
While the incident was ongoing, two vehicles left the area at a high rate of speed, according to police.
Both vehicles were involved in a crash a few moments later at the intersection of Tecumseh Road East and Lesperance Road. A black Dodge Challenger was immobilized and two occupants were arrested.
The second vehicle, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck, drove off.
Police say there is no threat to public safety and the investigation continued to unfold as of 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
