LaSalle opens survey on LaSalle Transit Route 25

The Town of LaSalle wants to know what you think of transit service, so it has opened a new online survey.

The town is reviewing how LaSalle Transit Route 25 works now and how it should be improved for the next five years. The LaSalle Transit Master Plan looks at where people live, how the town is growing, and how transit can better serve the community.

The survey takes five minutes to complete, and all responses will remain confidential. All residents, businesses, and community partners are also encouraged to share their input on PlaceSpeak, LaSalle's online community engagement platform.

Last December, the town engaged Left Turn Right Turn, a consulting firm, to lead the development of the master plan and guide community engagement.

LaSalle Transit Route 25 was introduced in 2017. The service consists of two buses, one starting at St. Clair College and another serving the Morton Drive and Front Road area. A round trip takes about 45 minutes, and the route serves about 70 per cent of homes within LaSalle's urban area.

The service has exceeded the town's expectations, averaging 32,000 rides annually between 2023 and 2025.

The survey closes on March 31.
