Recycling container take back program enters final week

The Essex Windsor Solid Waste Authority is reminding residents they have until Wednesday to drop off unwanted blue and red boxes and recycling carts.

Until April 15, residents can drop those off at three locations for free so they can be recycled.

Drop-off is available at the Public Drop-Off in Windsor on Central Avenue, the Transfer Station 2 on Albuna Townline in Kingsville, and at the Regional Recycling Depot in Essex on County Road 18.

Circular Materials distributed new residential recycling carts in January. Only materials in the new cart will be collected at the curbside. Old carts are incompatible with the trucks.
