Suspect faces five charges in relation to a residential break-and-enter

Windsor police have arrested a 41-year-old man Tuesday in relation to a break-and-enter inside a home.

Police said surveillance footage showed a man broke into a detached garage near Assumption Street and Louis Avenue on March 31. The man stole various power tools before leaving the scene.

Police said investigators quickly identified a suspect, leading to his arrest on Tuesday near Wyandotte Street East and Glengarry Avenue.

The man has been charged with break-and-enter with intent to commit theft, possession of break-in instruments, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
